The Apple TV app is already on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV. And along with the devices listed below, even more are coming soon.* How to backup iphone app to mac.
How the app works: First, make sure that your Sony TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on 'TV' Mode or any HDMI IN port. After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. According to Sony itself, Apple’s TV app will be launching on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 on November 12, the same day the company’s eagerly-awaited new PlayStation 5 console is scheduled to go on sale. The announcement was made today on Sony’s official PlayStation blog.
